Carat, adidas media agency approached RWD to help launch a new running trainer and make it appealing to a young lifestyle audience across print, digital and social.
The global assets where considered ‘too sporting for the launch’… As the success of the product depended on it being adopted as casual wear swell as the core running enthusiast.
The still life showed off the product silhouette while the metallic backgrounds informed the premium nature of the boost. The imagery was used as display and artwork.
Consumer insights showed that the target audience were heavily “open to celebrity influence” so it made sense to call on the help of emerging acts to both wear the product and talk about their BOOST moment (when they felt their career taking off). The chosen three were chart topping producer Julio Bashmore, model collective Justanorm and Hypebeast photographer. To complement the editorial content display product creative was produced from scratch by RWD and used to “wrap” youth lifestyle title RWD alongside a homepage takeover for 2 weeks over launch.
